What is IndieCrew?

IndieCrew is a community for independent founders who want to find customers, solve business problems and help each other instead of building alone.

Modern tools let one person build a product, but turning it into a business still depends on customers, trust and decisions no tool can make. IndieCrew is built around that gap. Its founder says independent entrepreneurship works better when you have people around you.

The site lists projects (software, hardware and more), member profiles, curated Indie links, Stories, and a private Wall for members.

Who is IndieCrew for?

It is built for solo founders, indie hackers and small teams who make their own decisions and want a trusted crew around them.

It suits makers who want a first paying customer, a distribution partner, honest feedback before they build the wrong thing, or simply people to compare notes with across time zones.

How does IndieCrew work?

You create a free account, write a pitch, add your project, then connect with other members and trade help.

  • Write your pitch: who you are, what you are working on, where you need help and what you can offer. Projects give that pitch context.
  • List your project: a public profile with a website link and a history of what you are building, filterable by sector and platform.
  • Connect: find a useful member and send a connection request. Help can be one-way or a reciprocal pact.
  • Agree a pact: a pact has two contributions, each with a deadline. Both members accept, and each recipient confirms what they received.
  • Build reputation: your public profile shows how many different people you helped and how many pacts you completed. Details stay private by default.
  • Share the win: with both people’s approval, a thank-you or finished pact can be shared on the private Crew Wall.

What can you list on IndieCrew?

Software, hardware and other products, with a description, sector and platform.

  • Sectors include SaaS, Fintech, Developer tools and Education
  • Platforms include Web, iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, Linux, MCP, API, Browser extension and Hardware
  • Projects shown on the home page include Familia (a family planner) and Mantra Meditation Timer

What are featured slots?

Featured slots are daily places where a project is highlighted on the site. Likes show appreciation only and do not decide who is featured.

Free members get 10 daily places, can book up to seven days ahead and can hold one featured appearance every seven days. Crew members get 15 places, no limit on how far ahead they book and a two-day interval. Each person can hold one current or upcoming reservation, subject to availability.

How much does IndieCrew cost?

IndieCrew has a free plan at $0 with no card required. Crew Club is a joining payment for a three-month term, with no monthly billing.

The final price, including applicable taxes, is shown at checkout. You can renew without paying again by completing three confirmed contributions that benefit at least two different members, or by recording at least 30 likes, comments or thank-yous and bringing three guests who register and publish a project. Check indiecrew.win/membership for current terms.

  • Free: a public profile, one project with a nofollow link, your own pitch shared privately with Crew members, and featured booking up to seven days ahead.
  • Crew Club: three project places to start (three more with each renewal), dofollow links to your projects and Indie links, private pitches, confidential Crew discussions, connection requests, pacts, and featured booking with no advance limit.

What is the idea behind IndieCrew?

Relationships over contacts, and generosity over strict reciprocity.

  • Having someone’s email address does not mean you have a relationship.
  • Introductions carry weight because the person making them puts their own credibility behind them, with permission.
  • If you help today, the same person may not help you tomorrow. Someone else might.
  • Success means helping someone make progress: a first customer, a distribution partner, early feedback or mentoring.
