What is Vaneform?
Vaneform is a free website traffic checker that estimates how many visits a public website gets each month, where those visits come from and which countries they come from.
Beyond single lookups it can compare several domains, research keywords, and show a site’s history from Internet Archive captures and recorded registration dates. It reports public or provider-estimated signals, not a site’s private analytics, revenue or conversions.
Who is Vaneform for?
It is for people who want a quick outside view of a website: SEO and marketing researchers, competitive analysts, developers and AI agents using its API or MCP server, and site owners.
Site owners can ask for a correction or removal by emailing hello@vaneform.com with the domain and the report URL.
How does Vaneform work?
You type a domain into the search box and get a report with estimated visits, trend, traffic sources and top countries.
Lookups on the website itself cost no credits. Credits apply only to API and MCP use.
- Whole-site traffic uses Similarweb public-data months.
- Search visibility uses a separate DataForSEO Labs sample.
- Every figure carries its provider, observation date, scope and confidence, and missing, partial or estimated values stay labeled.
What can Vaneform do?
It checks traffic, compares sites and ranks sites on public boards.
- Website traffic checker: estimated monthly visits, trends, sources and public site facts
- Traffic comparison: several domains on the same scope and period
- Keyword research and competitive keyword analysis, where search data is available
- Website history checker using Internet Archive captures and registration dates
- Boards ranking sites by traffic growth, most visits, disclosed revenue, AI referral traffic and backlink submission opportunities
- Category boards for AI tools, developer tools, design, security, hosting, marketing, social and education
- Free early-access research tools such as Google Ads Transparency lookup, reverse AdSense lookup, Meta Ad Library lookup and an outbound link checker
Can I use Vaneform from an AI assistant or code?
Yes. Vaneform has a public HTTP API with OpenAPI JSON, a hosted MCP server, a command-line tool and an agent skill.
The MCP server is at vaneform.com/mcp and its code is open source under the MIT license on GitHub. Its tools include a domain lookup, bulk comparison, comparing one name across suffixes such as com, ai and io, an account check and, on Pro, a keyword brief. You need a Vaneform API key, and a free account is enough.
The README lists setup for Claude Code, Cursor, Claude Desktop and Codex, and asks users to cite results as third-party traffic estimates.
How accurate are the numbers?
They are estimates from third-party data, not exact counts, and Vaneform labels them that way.
Each figure shows its provider, date, scope and confidence. In the MCP server a “missing” status means the domain is not cached yet, not that it has zero traffic.
How much does Vaneform cost?
The Free plan costs $0. Pro is listed at $99 a year.
Free gives 3 website lookups a day to guests and 999 to signed-in users, 100 API credits a month, the top 100 on leaderboards and a watchlist of 25. Pro gives unlimited lookups, 10,000 credits a month, keyword data and rankings, full filtered leaderboards and a watchlist of 100.
In the API, a website lookup or compared domain costs 1 credit, a keyword lookup 60 and a keyword ranking report 200. Commercial bulk access needs a license from hello@vaneform.com.

| Similarweb | In-depth traffic and audience analysis for businesses | Full features need a paid plan |
